icon troubles

i have installed acdsee pro v8 ..... the problem is that acdsee stes itself as the application to view *.ico files .... which does not show the icons but an acdsee icon .... when i disable acdsee's file association ..... the no software associated icon is displayed and i cannot see the icon ..... i hope i hv not confused u .......... please some1 tell what are file properties for *.ico files

The Windows Fax/Image viewer opens it fine here.

Download the icon file association fix from *www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/xp_ico_file_assoc_fix.zip and merge with registry. Restart...
