Hi!
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Video Conversion using Handbrake, Playing COD4, Home server.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 60k, can be extended to 65k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Maybe.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: At the moment, Win7 64 bit. Will upgrade to win8 64 bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I have a 1.5 TB hard-drive. I want an SSD for the OS.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 21/21.5 inches at 1920x1080p

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Speakers, HDD.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: next week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Chennai, locally.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: i want to buy an i7 processor. I need WiFi and SSD.

Lowest priced K series is 20K

Price of Processor + motherboard are outdated, VX550 isn't available anymore.
Price of SSD is outdated, actully it is ~4K

Won't be possible to get a config within 60K unless one pair a bad motherboard, desi PSU, bad chassis and low end graphics card with that.

okay nevermind 3rd gen i7 , what would you recommend between 3820 and 2600k?

I think it would be better for you to buy FX-8120/8150 based config at your budget. Would be bang for bucks spent.

Na, I read some articles lately after I bought my FX-4100, that the FX series hasn't lived up to the expectations and is nowhere close to i5 also. I'd suggest i5 2500k or i7 2600.

FX-8120/8150 when comapred to 2500K, performs similar or in better way.
Yes, FX-4100, worst possible BD processor.

Bolder part: wrong. They can use max 4 cores. And as per your point, there is no need of i7s as they have 4 HT cores performing as 8 cores.
