Also i want to know about making bootable cds in win 98
I want to create boot cd but cant do it because floopies cant be read from the drive .
For creating boot cd Easy cd creator wants floppy in floppy drive

I have created 2 boot cds some months ago .

But when i made copy of it the computer was not booted from it.
Although the first cd i have created computer booted from it

Actually i have created 2 cds
First original i mean by the process that easy cd creator tells to do
and then made another copy of it

but computer booted from 1st not from 2nd CD
then i format that cd and again follow all steps to create boot cd from easy cd creator
but then the computer booted from 2nd cd also

but why when i copy all files in same way as the cd to another cd computer is not booted from it

In the first case you are trying to rename a html file which is wrong so try to rename using save as option from ie directly. All intructions have been given on the box.

In the second case open files one by one. Not all at once. Again all the instructions are given in the box.

Can't you read properly?

YOU CANNOT DISABLE THESE WARNINGS. Moreovere they are helpful because you are doing wrong and Win XP is trying to correct you otherwise u will face problems like not able to view files properly or low system resources due to opeining of 22 files at once.

Bootable 98 CD
Step 1: Make sure you have the following
A: Windows 98 Cab files or CD
B: Windows 98 Bootdisk www.bootdisk.com
C: CD Burner
D: Blank CD
E: CD Burner software (I prefer Nero)

Step 2: Make the disk
A: Put in blank disk
B: Put in boot disk
C: Open Nero (or other)
D: Tell it you are creating a bootable disk
E: It will ask you to browse to the floppy for boot record
F: Then drag your 98 files over and click burn

If you want it to got directly to windows setup, you will need to modify the autoexec.bat on the boot disk to do so.

Coming back to life ..
When you save a document from web with Internet Explorer, all the related items of the page are saved to its folder .. Like if the filename you select is thinkdigit.html, all the CSS and images files will be saved to thinkdigit_files folder .. The browser saves the page referencing the linked items to the local copy as the logo will be thinkdigit_files\logo.jpg ..
So its saved in the web page that you made copy .. Now if you rename the folder or delete it, the references made in the webpage will become invalid .. And that is what Windows is trying to tell you ...

If you select In the Future, do not show this warning option, you wont be alerted if you do it again .. Its not recommended from me ..

I have selected do not show this warning option in both the warnings so i want it back.

This is because sometimes i select files to copy or move but many times it is double clicked so all 22 files or many are opened at once .
Actually my mouse is not good many times when i click once to select files by holding ctrl key it is double click so many files open toghther.
I have compaq laptop.

so i want that box back

Thanks for all the easy steps
but can u give me this step on easy cd creator
i have that software it came with the writer

also i have downloaded bootdisk but it is asking for floopy in the floopy drive
can i emaluate floppy drive or make a virtual floppy drive on hard disk
and then copy files to create boot disk on that virtual drive

Step 1: Make sure you have the following
A: Windows 98 Cab files or CD
B: Windows 98 Bootdisk www.bootdisk.com
C: CD Burner
D: Blank CD
E: CD Burner software (I prefer Nero)

Step 2: Make the disk
A: Put in blank disk
B: Put in boot disk in drive A
C: Start Easy CD Creator
D: Select "File", "New CD Project", "Bootable CD"
E: Select Floppy Emulation
F: It will ask you to browse to the floppy for boot record
G: Then drag your 98 files over and click burn

If you want it to got directly to windows setup, you will need to modify the autoexec.bat on the boot disk to do so.

Load the Easy CD Creator program.
Select [File] [New Project] [Bootable Disc] from the menu

(Don't change any other settings)

To be frank I don't use Easy CD creator.

I think that you can only disable these warnings but there is no way to renable those warnings. Atleast I could not find them.

One thing if you are planning to upgrade your CD Writer Software then go for Nero 6.6.0.14. It is the best and universal CD Writer available and simple to use. ROXIO is not so good.

Mine 3rd problem if anyone can help me :-

actually when i click arrange icons by
i cant get more than 3 options there
i do select from view than choose detail
but i have to do it in each folder
so i want windows to have 2-3 items more in the menu so that i dont have to select
it from choose detail.

if possible it can be done by reg key editing then it is good

Firstly make ur 3rd problem clear by using edit function and correct spell and typo errors and make it more clear. ALso post screenshots in full screen. Use only PRINT SCREEN to give more general view to us.

actually i was talking about the option in windows explorer

i have attached screen shots to it

i cannot get the options
