I wanna improve my internet :(

Jetfire

Broken In
Hello friends, I am a windows 7 user and use my Nokia mobile's EDGE connection to surf internet in computer. Normally, the connection is too slow and in firefox, it takes a long time to go from one page to another :-(. but when i download something using orbit download manager, the speed rises upto 50 kBps and normally 40 kBps and also stable.:razz: So there is a notable increase in download speed. It seems that my cellphone connection is capable to carry such speed.. but firefox, other browsers and apps (say AVG updating itself... or installing Chrome...) cannot maintain the speed. So I need a software which can maintain such good speed for other softwares too... (better if free.) Can you suggest me one??? Btw, I have no idea about manual tweakings.. So if you advice that, please be clear and specific.

I haven't heard of that software you said above. Does that kind of software really exist? It sounds helpful and useful!!! A few days ago, I downloaded a porn filter and installed it on my conputer. It can block unwanted websites and applications. It's working fine and I find my computer runs quick now.

That's because download managers make multiple connections to the server while downloading. You can try tweaking Firefox by increasing the number of connections it makes. Modify network.http.max-connections-per-server with a higher number.
What service provider do you use?
