Hey ppl.........

I have WIN XP Home with SP2 and all latest updates.......

I have disabled system-restore service and have removed all

system restore points from the Disk Cleaner........... But,

whem I boot from Linux Live CD, I can see some restore points

on each drive which I am unable to delete because the drive is

Ntfs......... Is there any way to remove those restore points

and free up some disk space............??

First run SequoiaView and make sure u have those files on ur disk.

Also make sure you have rights to delete those files. May be those are files created by different user, just a wild guess.

Coming back to life ..
Hmmm.. Have you done this ..?
Start > Run > Sysdm.cpl (Press Enter)
Click on System Restore tab
Check the option for "Turn off System Restore on all drives" ..
Apply .. Ok ..
No Restore points will be created now and the previous ones will be deleted after restart..

In the zone
isn't any way to find out the exact locations where restore points are saved and kill thm manually.

c:\system volume information probably stores it.

its there on all drives n can be seen only when u uncheck "HIDE OS FOLDERS" from tools>system folders>view

but i m somehow not pos to get in the folder. neither can i delete. bu deleting the contents is surely pos once u have dual OS. i dont have.

hmm well if u r on 9X dual boot & on FAT then 9X os can do it... but after 2000... hmm try the NERO... when at the time of adding files NERO file add box, it does shows the Folder.... so go inside & then try deleteing the Rpoints by folder names....

lol... may not work... but its worth a try....
