HP vs Lenovo

Ok it finally comes down to this:


HP Pavillion 23 -b026in

i5 3rd Gen 3330 2.7Ghz

4 GB RAM

1 GB NVIDIA 610 Graphic Card

OR

Lenovo B 340

i3 3rd Gen

1 GB NVIDIA 615 Graphic Card

1 TB HDD


I have highlighted the USP of each. I am tied between the two. Both cost nearly the same. And perform also the same.

But the reason I am considering HP i5 + 1 GB NVIDIA.

I wanted to know if any one has any experience with either brands, good or bad. It could help me make my decision.

After you try playing game in that GT610/615 GPU, i am sure you'll add Nvidia to your blacklist.

These are the strategies by companies to attract buyers.
Anything less than <GT630/40M is more or less =< HD 4000
Correct me if i am wrong

^Nah, 630M is much much better than HD4000. Vaguely, you can say hd4000 = 525M/620M, max. Sometimes it performs way below than that, sometimes, it catches 6630M. So pitting it against a single dGPU is not good. 7670M is the bare minimum one should go for if gaming has to be done.

Um..those are AIOs. Not laptops.

Also...from what I'm told, to do the amount of Photoshop and little bit of graphics work, I need a 1GB of graphic card.

And gaming is not even last on my list.

Hmm...I forgot to mention, I will also do AutoCAD, but seldom. Plus some HD video viewing, surfing, MS Office, and all of it together.

May I ask what version of Photoshop you are on?
