How to update AVG virus defenitions

My friend does'nt have an internet connection. He is using AVG antivirus 7.0.
He downloaded the virus updates but don't know how to update the defenitions.
There is an option , update from folder, but when the folder is selected it shows No newer update. plz help

Is norton 2004 better than 2003?

even i use avg 7. on the click of the button, it downloads the updates and installs them automatically; and informs u hat they have been successfully installed. so i cant really understand the problem.

try re-installing avg. if theres still a problem, do revert.

well if he dint have internet how did he download the updates.. and moreover when u download updates in AVG they get installed automatically.. plz check wat the exact problem is..

well till Ver 6 there was a option to D/l the Defination...i guess a Dat/Bin file..donn rem...

then Put the file in x{Root}:\program files\Grisoft\AVG\Update(s) folder and then run AVG ..thus it wud pick up the Update and Install it..i donno bout ver 7...try this for ver 7 and see if it works....
