Hello everyone,

I want to install Ubuntu 7.04 FF on to my Hard Drive (Windows Dual boot). When I Dbl Click the install icon on the Ubuntu desktop, in the end it asks me where to install the boot loader. Now I don't know what is the name of the MBR or how is it known as in Linux. Please help.

Hey, just install it in the first sector of your hard-drive as it has by default. Shouldn't give you any problem at all. (Its (hd0,0))

You use multiple hard drives?

I have only one HDD with three partitions-Windows NTFS, ext3 linux and swap. I ran the Ubuntu live system from this months Digit DVD. In the end it asks where to install the Bootloader and prompts a textbox with "/<something>" displayed.

I already have FC4 installed and wish to overwrite it complete (including the original boot loader of FC4)
