Broken In
So I installed Autopatcher SEptember from a CD. After selecting the apperance tweaks, I restarted the system.
But now, instead of the old logon screen ( the one with the XP logo and your photo) has been replaced with the dialogue box from Windows 2000 ( the one with drop down options ).
I really miss the original screen............but how do I get it back????

Please help!!!

Open ur net connection properties and goto "Networking" tab.
Now check if "client services on Netware" is present in the list. If its there, then uncheck it and then click on the"uninstall" button!

Now restart the computer and then try again to enable Login screen ;)

Windows 95 or 98

Download the Netware Uninstaller (unc32.exe) and run it. It will remove NetWare from your computer. After rebooting your computer, you must also delete the folder C:\NOVELL.
Windows 2000

To remove the NetWare client from your computer, follow the steps below.
  • Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
  • Open the Network control panel.
  • Right-click on the network connection you use to access CWRUnet and choose Properties.
  • Click on the Novell Client for Windows 2000 icon and press Uninstall.
To remove the client from Win XP, go to Properties of My Network Places, and choose properties for the Lan connection. Highlight the Novell Client and click uninstall.

@Phenom

Now you can get your old screen back. ;)

And if you want to know about Novell Netware you can goto *en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netware

Yea i guess what Vishal said should work...Since u say it shows "uninstall client services for netware" and it is the way 2 uninstall it.

What im wonderin though is that what does uninstall client services for netware have to do with the Login screen?

@gaurav.......netware client is for Virtual Private Networking and to get ur logon info from some primary server i.e u can access ur account from any PC as if the account was on that PC. U can also share the filez !!
Removing the netware client brings the primary logon back like u and @crazy_sumi wanted above!!
Advantage : Ur account wont be affected if the client PC gets crashed or needs formatting!!

I want to use ODBC feature in adminitrative tools coz i have to make DSN for my Java project .

^^ Did u delete it from Linux too? Things deleted in Linux get stored in "trash". Recover it from trash to is orginal location!

To open ODBC Data Source Administrator, just give following command in RUN dialog box:

odbcad32.exe

And for other applets in Administrative tools, they all are *.msc files.
So just search for *.msc files and u'll get them all. Now u can make their shortcuts and then paste them in Administrative Tools folder ;)
