How to get rid off?!!!

Some times I am being greeted with a message from Microsoft c++ runtime libraray.

"Buffer overrun detected!!

Program: C:/ Windows/explorer.exe

If ignored ...goes off after some time

If pressed OK ...EXPLORER RESTARTS. Otherwise works fine

Running Genuine XP Home and Office 2003 Pro with all updates from Microsoft update.

Please help

You need to kill: C:\ProgramFiles\MS_Update\MS_Services.exe
Boot in safe mode. Sys-restore off.
ctrl/alt/del and in Taskmanager try to stop it.
Then uninstall anything to do with it.
Then delete the MS_Update directory.
Reboot normal. If OK, turn Sys-restore back on.
Clean all Temp directories, temp internet files, anti-virus-vaults, recycle-bin etc.
