How to get rid of unmovable files in a partition

hi,
i am in need of free space in C:
pl look at ma scenario
Total capacity=10GB
Used space=7.03GB
Free space=2.98GB
But quite surprise Total size of all files in C: found to 3.93GB
i used Deframent tool to analyse the C:
i found a huge block of unmovable files found,How to get rid of them!!!

control panel -> system -> advanced tab - > Performance Panel Settings - > Advanced Tab - > Virutual Memory Change Button.

ya i got it!!
Oh thanks i ve allocated 1GB as virtual memory,wats shoult be apt size for it,
i ve 512+256 MB RAM,many says virtual memory= 2(RAM) ,is it true??
