Legen-wait for it-dary!
I dont know about ubuntu, but first disconnect your broadband within the host OS. Then, in your guest OS, open control panel, network connections, and create a new connection. The options you need are Connect to the internet, Set my connectons manually, using username and password, or always on depending on whether you use a dialer or not in your host os. Enter ISP name, username, pass and thats it.

You first need to allow using the network adaptor in your virtual machine settings.
