Hello folks,
my query is I have a PC with Asus/NVDIA VGA card which has HDMI output,at the other hand I have a sony Home-theater system with DVD player/amplifier which also has an HDMI output,I have already connected my pc to home-theater system over AV cord and its working fine, but I have read HDMI transfers better Audio than AV cords,so I want to connect my PC via HDMI cable.
but when I try connect Home theater to PC via HDMI,my PC dosen't detect any sound output..I tried by changing its modes from DVD,TV/VIDEO/AUDIO/USB but none of them plays the audio from my pc.
Please guide me through this.

In all probability you will need to have a audio pass through in the DVD player having an HDMI in. If thats not there audio wont be extracted. Most AV Amps havevthat but DVD/Amps , I highly doubt.

The HDMI of your HT is for output to TV only. It won't work with the hdmi of your GPU.
