How to connect a Laptop and a PC:?

Hi........I wanted to transfer some big files from my PC to Laptop.... I tried connecting both with a LAN cable ... Hasn worked out as yet !!!
Don have a pendrive so trying to find out another way out ...
Plz help

U can connect PC and Laptop wid LAN Cable. But b sure the LAN Cable must b in Cross-Over mode. Normal Straight cable wont work for PC 2 Lappy LAN connectn

Im using the same cable which i use 4 connecting to internet via adsl modem ..... nokia siemens c2110 ........

Nope........the cable u use to connect ADSL modem 2 PC is a straight cable........tats y i said u need a cross-over cable......

buy a CAT5e cable 1mtr wud do(as u'll connect PC 2 lappy).....ths 'll cost u approx 12/- per mtr.

Tell them to connect the RJ45 in cross-over mode.

hmmmmmmm..... will try out .... and will d cross over cable be useful for other purpose like connecting to adsl modem .... ???
