how to auto mount drives on dual boot vista/ubunutu

I installed Ubunutu ultimate 1.8 and I am new to Linux so don't know how to browse all by disk within ubunutu.

I can bring the ikons of disk to desktop open from there, but I need to open files on my E: drive within GIMP on ubunutu there I don't see the drives at all, I tried dragging the files but that also does not work.

C:Vista sp1
D: data
E: data
F: ubunutu ultimate 1.8
all drives are ntfs

Need some direction.

Ok that did the job,
but on every reboot I have to mount my drives again & again, is there a way to keep them mounted?

thanks for the compliments.
Its been a long time wish to switch to linux but the unix command lines kept me holding, with ubunutu ultimate its quite easy but I still need to learn lot many basic things about it.

I will keep posting my questions in this forum.

next,if you want mobile phone synchronization, install "wammu",obexfs, obexftp, opensyncutils and maybe gmobilemedia :)

and...for your info, command line, that is bash shell is very easy and intuitive with auto complete feature.
Enjoy!

^+1 for wammu. Its very good for synchronizing mobiles with linux pcs. It detected my SE w660i without a bit of pain, all automated. I had to figure out the device file for my phone (being a n00b in linux :) ), but since there were only two of them in the list of wammu setup dialog, so no problem whatsoever. :)

As of now I have to copy to windows partitions then it works but I want to keep the files in linux documents/pictures etc &open the files from windows.
