How is this Configuration?

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard 10400
Intel® Core™ i5-3550 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.70 GHz, HD 2500) 12450
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 3475
Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD SATA 7200 RPM 5950
Asus Internal DVD/RW SATA : DRW-24B5ST 1180
CORSAIR SMPS 430 CXV2UK 2548
COOLER MASTER CABINET ELITE 431 plus 3432
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 (Keyboard+Mouse) 1630
Total (without graphic card) 41065

I am planning to add graphic card later on, may be after one or two years.

My Purpose is some medium gaming and general stuff like web surfing, HD-3D movies, MS office etc.

I am not sure that whether I will be overclocking the system or not.

Want to build a future proof system, will use it for long period.

Is this PSU sufficient if I add a graphic card (say HD 7770).

My budget is Rs.40k for CPU and 10K for Monitor. I will get my PC assembled in December, hopefully prices will go down for some parts.:-D

Any other suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance and please give your valuable suggestions.

for HD 7770 yes it's sufficient. But you may have to change it for high end GPUs.

Additional info: From what i could understand from different forums, i5 3550 has a multiplier of 41. If you are interested in such a mild overclock then you will need a z77 board. You will also need an aftermarket CPU cooler liek Hyper 212 EVO(2100 RS). You may also need a better PSU like corsair cx 500v2 but i am not sure about that. Let other members comment on the PSU need for mild overclock.

If you are not interested in mild overclock and want to go for a full blown overclocking then you should consider i5 3570k+ Z77 Mobo+definetly a better PSU(e.g. corsair gs600)+hyper 212 evo. you will have to increase your budget by 8-10k for tht.

If you are not interested in any kind of overclock or dual GPU configuration then save some money and go for a H77 board. Spend the saved money on a good GPU. GPU is more important for gaming anyway. Even for every other normal routine task i5 3550 at stock speed is more than enough.

For a z77 mobo you can also take a look at Gigabyte Z77 G1 Sniper m3.

No overclocking, no crossfirex. But has lucid virtu logix tech.
How's the RAM. Comment pls.

^^Yes that is sufficient for the current setup.

This psu may fall short if you intend to purchase a high end GPU.

Single card setups for 7770,7850 will run on 500. Single card 7870 will work with 550+.
If you OC cpu,gpu take a higher wattage to be on the safe side.

For mobo you can opt for GIGABYTE GA-H77-DS3H @ 6.9k.
It has lucid Virtu support,is crossfirex capable and has ATX form factor.
RAM is quite good for the price,1600MHz with CAS 9.
If possible add some more money and get corsair carbide 400R.Much better case.

The PSU is good enough and can easily handle hd7870 with your config under max load and would have enough headroom for overclocking.
No need to worry.

I had some doubts there. Thanks for clearing :)

Ideally , the Cx500v2 has like 34A on 12V rite? thats 408W on 12V.. Your whole machine wont draw more than 350W
That should be enough for your system as you plan nither overclocking nor x-firing with muti Gpu's

But i hope that CX is a single rail....Incase its not i suggest going for the GS500, 39A on 12V=468W and Single rail..And i think theres not too much of a price difference?

But nothing is mentioned about lucid virtu tech.
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-H77-DS3H (rev. 1.0)

But its great motherboard for the price.

Sorry,it's a mistake of from my part. GA-H77-D3H-MVP is the one which supports lucid Virtu.
Got mistaken by specs in amazon and flipkart about GA-H77-DS3H which mentions virtu in its specs.
Not sure about GA-H77-DS3H as it(Virtu) has not been mentioned in the manufacturer's page.

Below are some mobos with logix virtu support.None of them support crossfirex though.
Asus P8B75-M - 6250
ASUS P8B75-M LE - 5900
Asus P8H77-M LE - 7800
