How I use a CD Writer in USB port?

What kind of software and media I have to use?

There is nothing to do with Software and Media.
The main thing is U need an external CD writer that supports USB connectivity.

Or U can also use extrnal drive case with which u can use ur internal HDD and CD writer as extrnal One.

External CD Writers use USB to connect to PC.....some motherboard CD provide USB drivers with them, install them....then enable USB in BIOS....
After this connect the CD Writer to the USB port and it will be recognised by Windows....
