How 2 connect a desktop PC & a laptop?

Hi! friends,
My friend has a laptop and he needs some games stored on my comp. He is coming 2moro. I know it sounds funny but "I HAVE NEVER WORKED ON A LAPTOP BEFORE" . So, how do I connect his laptop to my comp? I have a free 10MB LAN port and 2 USB ports. So, what kinda wires are needed? I don't need a hub plz.. ANd what is their cost. Or is there some other way???
