*1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')*
Ans: Basic, simple computer. If possible small gaming, but not necessary.
For Commerce student, internet, and MS Office use

*2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.*
Ans: 20k rs. tight budget.
Cabinet parts, monitor, keyboard mouse, good speaker or headphone, loadshading problem..
Future purchase, in 1-2 months, wifi router and modem for small home, please suggest that also.
20k budget for cabinet parts, keyboard mouse, monitor, speaker or headphone. Please suggest both speaker and headphone low price value for money. Suggest 20k computer with speaker and 20k with headphone.
Suggest low price value for money router and modem.
5-10 years computer use.

*3. Planning to overclock?*
Ans: no

*4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?*
Ans: windows 8, 8.1 or 10.
Please suggest price for genuine version.
[strike]But pirated version will be okay.[/strike] - NO Piracy Talk.

*5. How much hard drive space is needed?*
Ans: 1 TB.

*6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.*
Ans: Yes. Monitor which fits in 20k budget. But don't suggest gaming monitor. If possible dell brand.

*7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?*
Ans: it's 1st time comp buy with cabinet parts, monitor, keyboard mouse, speaker and headphone, internet modem and router.
Anything else not needed. But throw some light on different comp parts for 1st time buyer. Loadshading area in nashik. Near kumbh mela.

*8. When are you planning to buy the system?*
Ans: this month. If prices drops in next month, then can wait till next month.

*9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?*
Ans: does answer really matter for this question? Curiosity ..
Reason, it depends on them where they buy. If they buy here in Mumbai i will do the assembling. Else in Nashik they need assembler.

*10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?*
Ans: no online. Local buying only.
If possible suggest shops in Nashik.
I know shops in Mumbai.

*11. Anything else which you would like to say?*
Ans: please suggest other forms of comp. Below 20k. Like Intel pen drive comp & share lifespan, after sell service, repairability, value for money.

And other important thing that power supply should be branded. Because they want to use computer for long time.

Corsair VS 350. Will be great if you include in rig.

forgot to mention that I saw suggested rig for each budget.
but for 20k it's going for 22k and want comp for 1st time buy.
cabinet (branded psu), monitor, keyboard & mouse, headphone or speaker. for all this budget goes above 25k. and they want comp for 20k. so help needed.

why branded psu, because of my experience with local psu was really bad. In my case local psu affected other components motherboard and ram. so please suggest branded or good psu, corsair vs350 is good.

amit.tiger12 - do you use any special software which only run on windows .. if not I would recommend you to try out linux instead of using non legitimate copy of windows.

Here's what I recommend :

ASUS : AM1M-A @ 2400
Athlon 5150 Quad core @ 3800
Corsair Value Select 1600 Mhz 4GB @ 1700
Intex Cabinet with SMPS @ 1200 - 1300
WD Blue 1 TB @ 3,500
Asus DRW-24D3ST @ 1,000
IDell E1914H @ 5600 [ get it from amazon - rates fluctuates between 5 - 5.5k - wait a bit if price is too high ]
Mouse : Genius NetScroll 110X @ 150 [ currently @ deal price on amazon ] + 40 Shipping may be
Keyboard : Zebronics ZEB-K09 / 9B @ 250
Speaker : Zebronics Igloo 2.0 USB Speaker @ 350
Headphone : Philips SHP 1900 @ 350 - 425

Yes i checked before posting here.
They have very tight budget. They cannot go above 20k. And they also want speaker, headphone in 20k.

Ok. You posted same build as it was suggested in that thread.

Build was good over there. Only wanted to add, corsair vs350 psu to it. Reason included in op.

Dell in2030 monitor is not available online, i doubt it will available locally. Any other suggestion for monitor.
