well, not exactly, there r no options for folders in gmail, but there'z a better and more innovative method: labels
when u access ur gmail account, u'll see a column named Labels. here, click on edit labels and create labels as u wud name ur folders. after u have done that, select the mails u want and apply the appropriate labels thru the "More Actions" dropdown list.

yeah labels are really a new approach.

For example you created many folders like India, computers etc in a folder based mail service. Now you got a mail which speaks about India and computers both at great length so you want it to be in both the the folders (You have folders for India, computers etc)you can keep it in a single folder and cant keep it in both of them as the mail is physically moved to one of the folders.

But in Gmail you can create two labels like India and computers and apply both the labels to the mail. The mail is just applied both the labels and is not physically moved from where it is.... Its adding a category to a mail.

Then you can access them as sreevirus said.

Yeah, labels are the way, what more you can apply multiple labels to a single mail. Also, after labelling a mail, you can archive them, so that It disappears from the inbox. Clicking on the required label from the label list, will show all the mails to which a label is associated.
