Help With Modem Configuration!!

Hi,

I just got BSNL Home 250 plan. I have a ZTE ZXDSL 831 AII modem. I keep formatting my system. But i don't know how to reconfigure my modem and computer for the net can sm1 plz give me step by step information. I don't want an always on connection.

wat OS u usin?

assumin u usin Win Server 2003, and ur modem plugged in properly and switched ON

Start->Settings->Network Connections->New Connection Wizard

in d wizard window

Connect to the Internet->Connect using a broadband connectin that requires a username and password->ISP name->Password->(few other clicks to create dektop shortcut[optional])

and now click on the shortcut and connect 2 d Internet simple

Shudnt' be very different with d other Win OSes, I guess
