Help regarding RAM upgrade in Sony Vaio E series.

I have a Sony Vaio E series laptop purchased in Oct 2011. It has Intel i3 Processor 2.20 GHz & 2 GB DDR3 RAM. Though my system can handle softwares like VB Studio 2012, Eclipse Work-light etc without any complaints I was thinking If I should upgrade the RAM to higher capacity. I am running on 64 bit Windows 8.1 without any lagging etc or performance related issue. I can also play heavy games like f1 2013 without any problem.

Please tell me should I upgrade RAM? Will there will be some significant performance boost? Or 2 GB is just fine?

If I should upgrade then please tell me which RAM to go for? I have 2GB DDR 3 RAM @ 665MHz DRAM frequency. I am attaching CPU-Z scren shot - please refer it. I have only one spare module - so can I install 2 + 4/6GB RAM combination? or only 2 + 2 will work? I don't want to scrap my stock RAM. What if in case of speed mix & match?

Increasing RAM will only improve loading times and day to day performance.Your computers actual processing and graphics perf will remain unchanged. Two gb is quite less IMO,you should have atleast 4 gb to run your computer smoothly.Your RAMS's speed isn't 665 its 1333 mhz(check bios for actual data)..so you can get another 2/4 gb 1333 ddr3 module. For brands I would recommend corsair.

Get another 4GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM. It would be a better choice for gaming too. Some new games like NFS Rivals need min 6GB RAM

Does your laptop have dedicated graphics card ?
