Hi,

I have a PC configuration like:-
1)SMPS 460 W CoolerMaster
2)Mother Board Gigabyte Ga-880Gm-USB3
3)AMD Phenom II x4 840 Processor 3.20 Ghz
4)Corsair 4 gb ddr3 1333Mhz

I want to buy a AMD graphic card 6670 DDR5. I want to know if buying 6670 DDR5 will be compatible with above configuration. Can you suggest some good graphic card for 5-7k for above configuration.

Thanks
-Vicky

Yes, it will work perfectly fine. :)

HD6790 if you can extend your budget upto 7.8k, else get a MSI 7750 OC for 6.8k

Please mention the exact model number of the SMPS, not only the brand name. Cooler master has several series os PSU like Extreme and Extreme Plus, GX, Silent Pro etc. So mention that.

HD6790 needs 500 Watt or greater power supply according to official site.So can I run it on 460 power supply?

For HD 6670 there are 2 versions DDR3 and DDR5 so whether my system can support both?

e.g
HIS AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 GPU 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card
and
HIS AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Again there are so many companies making it like:-

XFX AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card
and
XFX AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 1 GB DDR5 Graphics Card

Whether I should go for 1 GB or 2 GB? I have a windows 7 with 4 GB(2.75 Usable) RAM

Looking forward to play MaxPayne3 in good resolution :)

The PSU you are having is actually does not have good reputation, in fact it pretty bad reputation among the system builders. So lets not stress it much.

For your requirements, HD 6770 1 GB GDDR5 from MSI at 6.3K is the best choice and your PSU can handle it.

IF you're going for HD 6670 then always pick up the GDDR5 version because GDDR5 is twice faster than GDDR3 running at same clock speed. A 400 MHz GDDR5 ram can provide same memory bandwidth of a 800 MHz GDDR3 ram.

The Sapphire and MSI HD 6670 GDDR5 will cost you around 5.4K. There is no point of getting 2 GB version of any of the mentioned Gfx card. All of them are lower or mid range card which can't use that much of memory.

Regarding Windows 7, is it 32 Bit or 64 bit version. For using anything more than 3 GB, you have to use 64 bit version of Windows OS.
