1.my vendor says not to choose athlon as it tends to get hot and rely on intel---------> If system is built properly, there will be absolutely no problem whatsoever.

2.while installing any os or while booting sys via a bootable disk will i have to
install any xtra drivers for the cpu or the sys will run as on intel--------> NOthing of this sort is needed. This happens only if you wish to install XP on SATA drive that is connected to a SATA port on third party controller on the motherboard.

3.my vendor also says that athlon tends to get damaged soon and its service
in india is not good ---------> This is absolute crap.THis is not true.

4.plz suggest a suitable mobo ,i'm wnt to go for an asus---------> Best bet is Asus A7N8X Deluxe.

My suggestion-Get AMD Athlon 64 instead of normal Athlon XP.
