Help me choosing best 1TB hard disk!

i want to buy 1TB hard disk next month but i m little confused. so here it goes-

1)Should i consider buying used one from Bazaar section here or Erodov or from OLX.in?
If yes what would be the best price to buy and what test should i do to know if it will last?
2)Which company- WD(2 yrs warranty), SEAGATE(2 yrs) or TOSHIBA(i read somewhere it is giving 5 yrs)

Budget- 4-4.2K
Place- Nehru place(cost to cost probably- ~3.8K for WD n Seagate currently) or Online whichever is cheaper

why go for a used one? get wd blue 1 tb for 3.8k. toshiba offers 3 years warranty.

Get either from Wd blue 1TB or Tosibha 1TB

Wd have excellent service support while toshiba have bad service support.

Simply to save money,, nowadays a lot of software are available to tell the health of HDD... i was hoping if i can get used one for < 3K(wont that be a good deal??)

If Toshiba has bad service support then i guess i will pass,, actually was considering it only because of 5 yrs warranty!!

nothing cant be really told about the reliability of a hdd. being it a new one or old one, there are several things matters especially the psu. wrong choice of psu /el-chepo - de-crapo psus can make bad sectors in hdd. also softwares are not an exact measure of hardware. i suggest to get a new one.

toshiba provides 3 years of warranrty.

which one is better 2.5inch or 3.5inch form factor?
Should i buy from Cost to cost (i have been hearing lately that they sell fake products)?
Is it possible that buying locally i can be fooled by giving 3gb/s HDD (instead of 6gb/s) or they have stopped manufacturing it?

WD Caviar Black 1TB -6500 (3 years warranty)

There is a difference between Cache sizes. WD10EALS has 32MB Cache where as WD10EZEX has 64MB Cache.

1 TB internal HDD should be available for 4-4.1k. You should get Blue, not Green.not that Green is bad, but Blue is better.

I also saw that before posting and i would take more cache memory would be better!!
Now EALS using 3gbps interface how come its transfer rate is 1008mbps and EZEX using 6gbps having only 150mbps??
which one is better??
