Hello guys,
I have an old PC with following configurations-
Intel Pentium 4
2 GB of ddr2 ram
Nvidia 7200 gs
320 Gb hard disk
200w PSU
Jetway 946GZM3 Motherboard with intel 946gz chipset
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am thinking on building a new PC under 8K not even 1rs more than that.
I don't think i need to change the ram and hard disk do i?
And i want my pc to run modern games at least 720p (1280X720) resolution
and i want an AMD processor and does my old mobo supports it or i have to buy a new MOBO?
and i am thinking on buying a new ATI radeon 5670 graphics card.
And a new PSU.
will all of these come under the budget of 8K?
Please Suggest and thanks.

8K I guess I can squeeze in the AMD CPU+ Mobo and use your existing 2 GB Ram with a New PSU but GFX will be hard to get within that tight budget.

Since you are having an Intel mobo, you cannot plug an AMD processor on it and you will require a whole new CPU+motherboard combo for going to AMD and I think it will overshoot your budget. So here is my suggestion if you want to keep your existing components:-

Intel Dual Core LGA775 socket E5700 3.0 GHz @ 3K
Sapphire HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5 @ 4.2K

Total 7.2K. I think this config can play all the games in 1280X720 resolution with high settings.

If you can extend your budget by few hundred bucks then get a MSI HD 6670 1 GB GDDR5 @ 5.4K
