Hello guys,

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Playing HD movies, a few games like nfs, assassins creed mid level games.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:20-25k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 tb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:no

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: monitor, keyboard mouse, speakers!

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:In a weeks time

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Pune, buying locally. yes buying online is not a problem

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I was planning to get i3-2120 with 4gb ddr3 ram. Not planned on the motherboard or graphics card. I dont plan on buying anything else other than the cpu so i hope you guys would help me get a good config for 20-25k.

CHEERS :)

Thankyou guys for the replies,
I was wondering why not to go for i3 rather than AMD A10-5800K/Intel Pentium G645 (Dual Core). Assemblers here suggest to go for intel. they say amd has always had problems.

Just spending a few hundred bucks you can get i3 3220 which is superior to i3 2120. For Ram, why not Corsair Value Ram when it is available at the same price point? Buddy, don't forget, Corsair Rams can run at higher speed, available at the same price and offers 10 years of warranty.

GT 610....Best of luck with your game playing experience.

Get a HD 6670 DDR3 graphics card, available around 3.8 to 4K.

Dragon...Dragon...Dragon.
A10 will go much better for you. Why??

1.mid gaming performance(Has integrated GPU)+mid processing processor(better than g45 and little less than i3)................

2.A10's GPU will totally overpower 210...............

3.And total price is within 21K.................

4.Easily up-gradable (The next generation APU will also have same socket type so you wont need to replace MOBO)

5.Quad cores = Better support in works like Photoshop......

Go with naxal‘s config. its well balanced, and get a decent cooler like cm 212 evo. else stretch the budget and get a i3 3220 paired with a hd7770 and for motherboard go for any h77 chipset based motherboard and get a wd caviar blue1tb hdd avoid green hdd.

if your budget is really 25K, then Naxal's combo is the one. dont gripe over iGPU. the HD7770 is far better. than any iGPU.

dont cheap out on critical components like RAMs. Corsair is a reputed brand and RMA and service is very good.

You did not get what draco said the a10 has decent integrated gpu so that it will allow you to play games without even adding dedicated gpu, so see it like this you are getting cpu+gpu in 8k vs i3 which is just the cpu and has worthless gpu onboard for 7.2k, i think the decision should be pretty clear here.

Second point i would like to iterate is that with the a10 if down the line in future you add a dedicated hd 7xxx series gpu then it will work in hybrid crossfire mode with the already present onboard gpu on the a10 so its a much better deal !

Lastly the lga 1155 platform is about to be phased out, i mean going down the drain, intel will stop producing it and hence if you would want to upgrade in future you would have to change the motherboard as well to jump to a newer and better processor, while with amd even the next gen cpus are gonna support the current platform and upgrading would only require you to buy a new cpu, thats it !

And not to mention things are now becoming more and more optimized for multicores so in genral tasks in the coming time an i3 with 2 cores would not be a logical choice !

I think i wud go with draco's build. but i have a few question( sorry for that)

1. I have heard amd processors consume more power n have heating issues. is that true?

2. Would i be able to play moderate lvl games like assassins creed new nfs games without a gpu?

3. Asus F2A85-M-LE would allow me to upgrade new cpu if needed in future?

4. i3 3220 vs A10-5800k overall? and i3220 vs A10-5800k (both with HD 6670)?

1) That is a misconception, yeah compared to intel they do eat a bit more power but they generally don't heat up to an extent to cause the user any problem if used in a proper way(i mean a decent cabinet with some airflow) !

2) Yes it has 384 shaders equipped hd 7660D gpu onboard !

3) Yes, it will support at least one more generation of APU's !

4) Forget hd 6670, amd can make use of hybrid crossfire if the onboard gpu and dedicated gpu belong to the same series, meaning if you take hd 7670(donno if its available for desktop yet but just giving you an example) then
a10 + hd 7670 > i3 + hd7670 and this is because in teh a10's case the total gpu performance will be = hd7660D + hd7670 while with intel you will only be using hd7670 !
