HELP: AMD + Mobo

I need a processor and motherboard.

Use:
1. Watching movies ( HD and BRRips, 1080p etc)
2. Occasional gaming (Mainly fifa 11 and PES)
3. Software development like Eclipse..

Had shortlisted on
Processor: Amd athlon II x4 645 / AMD phenom II x2 555 BE / AMD phenom II x2 955 BE /

Motherboards: Gigabyte 880GM-USB3 / Gigabyte GMA-UD2H
Asus M4A87T-d

can u suggest the best combo?

P.S.-
Have never overclocked. CAnt afford to take the risk incase it makes the system unstable.
Wont be upgrading till the next 3-4 years again

Will that software development be benefited by many cores??
Since I don't know I assume both YES & NO.
If YES then go for Phenom II X6 1055t - 8.3k & ECS 885GM A2 - 4.3k.This will cross your budget by 0.6k.

If the software development doesn't use many threads then Phenom II X4 965 - 8k & ECS 885GM A2 - 4.3k.Again this will cross your budget by 0.3k.

If you wanna keep it under 12k then Phenom II x4 955BE - 6.7k & ECS 885GM A2 - 4.3k.

But if you aint in a hurry then wait for some time,save up & go for Sandybridge.

@ssb1551 that development software runs on core2duo in my office.. so i guess it wud work fine on 2 cores..

if i cant fit in 955be then is athlon II x4 635be a better option than phenom II x2 555be consider it assures me 4 cores?

^^Currently a 2GB DDR3 module is for 1.3k(theitwares) even cheaper in Kolkatta,a lil over 1k.I don't think it will fall below this.Don't expect the prices to fall.

Yeah X4 635/640 will do.Jas has already given you a good rig.Go with it.

then get atleast fsp saga II 350w @ 1.5k if you wont upgrade to high end gfx card. it will be fine for upto HD5670.

Because the psu u currently have is crap. The fsp one is much better. Wattage doesnt mean everything. Quality matters.

Inquire at your place for a Saga II 500W.If the price aint more than 2.3k then go for it or a Saga II 400W for 1.8.

1. Found out that there's an AMD X4 955BE with 8MB cache(which is not shared but pure ) as compared to the 6MB in some which is shared by all 4 cores.. can some1 shed some light on this?

2. wats the difference between gigabyte 880GM-UD2H and 880GMA-UD2H?
Do both have onboard graphics ?

^^ no. Phenom II processors have 6Mb L3 cache. if its mentioned as 8Mb, its L2+L3

the "A" means USB 3.0 & Sata 3.0
