I want to buy a Radeon HD 4670 from a brand called VTX .
I have a 200w power supply from Intex(local brand)...
Should I buy a 450w watt supply?
If yes, can it be from intex(20 amp) or other brands such as Corsair(30amp)?

For running HD 4670, Corsair VX450 may be an overkill. wamreyazz, please let us know your budget. However you have to spend at least 1.5k for getting a good PSU.
Get a Gigabyte LC400 80+ 400W @ 1.6k. It will be enough to run HD 4670. if you want a little extra power then get VIP Gold 600W @ 2.8k or Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W @ 2.2k.

Even if Intex delivers 50% of the power they claim the PSU provides(50%*400=200w) i should be able to run the card (either 4670 or 4650) coz it can only have have a maximum TDP of 75w(max on a PCIe) ...
Anyways colud anyone tell me wats the diffrernce between 4670 and 4650?
And whether the latter supports overlocking or not.

1) The most imp thing about a PSU is Amp over the +12V rail. not wattage
2) You won't run the Graphic on its own. You need power for the CPU, HD, RAM etc.

Get a proper PSU. A cheap PSU can destroy your PC.

HD4650 is an underclocked HD4670. And memory bandwidth is half that of HD4670.

HD4670>>>>HD4650 as they are of similar prices.

Is VIP as good as Gigabyte Superb??

nah. VIP is good only in efficiency. but FSP/Gigabyte is far better than it. add to it, FSP as well as Gigabyte is PFC active, maybe VIP is not. also i doubt VIP have any protection.

There is no way you can find a decent PSU in that budget. Spend more and get a quality product.

yah, its like spend less today, cry tomorrow. or spend a bit more & smile tomorrow.

yes you right but what when your PSU goes up while gaming & you end up burning your graphics card as well as processor.
