Hard disk making noise at start up and shut down ??

my laptop makes a
noise at start up and at
shut down like fax
coming out or tickling
like for 2 second i guess
its hard disk ? so what is
it ??? i have called
lenovo they are saying
that they will visit me in
2 days time !! should i
tell them to replace
hdd ???

I think there is some problem with the ram in your laptop,,If you can open the back panel and check the ram then i think that it may be able to solve your problem
