Hard disk add nahi hota....

I tried to add another hard disk to my PC by removing the CD ROM.. The booting process steps upto "Search Boot Record from IDE Drive ... OK" and stops. Plz let me know how to add another hard drive to a PC to access it's data?

The 2nd HardDisk is called slave.
Place the jumper on this HardDisk in the slave position and attach,the instructions will be given on the HDD.

set the1st boot priority device in bios to hdd.

configure the HDD to slave mode

and make the primary boot device to the old HDD

Make the first hdd master and other hdd which u want to attach to slave by using jumper setting....make the boot priority to hdd0...to boot from previous hdd....
