I know I know, its not exactly new...but I just noticed this nifty little tool in the google labs. It lowers the web page DL time like crazy! Its working extremely well so far ^_^ The counter says that Im saving up to 17 seconds of loading time.

Heres how it works:(copy+pasted from the site)
 •
 • Sending your page requests through Google machines dedicated to handling Google Web Accelerator traffic.
 • Storing copies of frequently looked at pages to make them quickly accessible.
 • Downloading only the updates if a web page has changed slightly since you last viewed it.
 • Prefetching certain pages onto your computer in advance.
 • Managing your Internet connection to reduce delays.
 • Compressing data before sending it to your computer.

Duh. On my DSL it had no effect. But it has one more  feature that is ip-hiding. If you tend to visit any site which tracks your ip then u can use google web accelrator to change your ip to google's! Sites will not block google ip as google is a major search engine. :)

Nope. It is only for Windows users. Not for we linux users and tux-fans.

For Windows users, see this tut for configuring GWA on ur PC: *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52081
