^ After the elections,if a stable-coalition govt. is formed at the central ,then hopefully we might expect a Rupee evaluation against Dollar.
Google Nexus(with Mediatek chipset) will definitely make others bite the dust,if the price performance is kept consistent, and the sweet spot of costing being under the 100$ mark...

Friend, Micromax has increased the quality of its products(particularly Tablets),though its A.S.S. needs a gigantic uprising to woo customers here.

Yes but if ASS is not good, you will feel cheated in the end. Its like your phone becomes your new friend, you guys enjoy a lot and then one day it shuts the door on your face and doesn't explain why. I dont want to have those kind of friends anymore.

micromax is certainly the best indian oem but they can do better with their after sales etc, maybe they can promote cyanogenmod or stock android as well to attract people away from samsung
its really sad that we pay so much extra for phones in india yet no oem offers service like in other countries only nokia, dell, sony,hp and apple to some extent offer decent service but others despite having better products sometimes lose out in service-centres etc

if it is 100$ in usa then we will get it for 150-200$

i think this 100$ nexus may never happen .. i am wondering if google really makes this device it will just flat out close the business of samsung, sony,lg i wonder how can they not be up against this ? nexus got a pass through by saying it is a developer device and it has basically steered away many people from flagships.. but a device at 10-12k will just end all competition considering its fast updates .. maybe a 100$ wearable or something that could use that chip or a tablet .. but a phone ? i don't think so.. another possibility it might never get released here.. as cheap budget phones are not released much in USA as they are launched here..

I don't think people will buy the budget nexus with a mediatek over a Moto g which is certainly better overall and its chipset or even the Lumia 520/525 or micromax which already has an established name in India given the number of people buying the canvas series over say a Samsung galaxy phone , google should have partnered with micromax and made a phone like the Moto g with a big screen or something ....... Personally I don't buy phones based on screen size etc but I know alot of people who would buy such a phone , most of my friends buy large screen phones as they don't have tablets etc

^Well said logical point.
Google itself a "Goliath" amongst several "Goliaths" might not disturb the market dynamics.

Yeah plus people are getting paranoid abt Google's changing account policies like u need an account login everywhere etc, the first thing I did after getting my nexus 5 and 7 was to disable google+ and other services which I don't need

Though stock android is gaining momentum now but the devices are either too expensive or too limited for eg Moto g has a great price but lack of sd can be an annoyance for some like me,if they release a 32gb one as well it'll make sense not to have an sd slot
