Hi,

I have openSUSE 10.3 installed on my laptop. Everyone using it might know, but gnome desktop focus model has been changed.

When you open new windows then they come forward. Which is annoying if it comes suddenly in front when you are typing... say password...

Anyways, even if there is any change in the windows, they come forward. EG :- when I log in to a site and start any other app, amarok for example, (while the site loads in firefox) then firefox suddenly jumps to focus.

How to remove that and enable click to focus, in openSUSE?

Aditya

yeah,i can understand.but in debian or ubuntu any applications launched will not come upfront.I think gconf has to do something with this behaviour.search in gconf-editor "window" for any options.

:-( ..... I have been searching in vain. This problem was not there in 10.2. And it is most annoying when you fireup YaST and it keeps blocking you while downloading repository data.

I haven't noticed this? All my windows just stick fine and windows needing attention simply start glowing. How do I duplicate this?

Anyway, there's around dozen of Metacity keys for 'focus', might wanna check them out?

^this seems particular to opensuse :p .in debian or ubuntu new gui apps launches in background when you are..say,scrolling or typing something in iceweasel or nautilus.

May be i should post one video of this working correctly. :?:
