Hi

I am using gmail for the last one year; dnt know why since yesterday not getting the chat option on the left side window.

If my frnds use their account they are getting the online frnds list.

Plz help

Check the bottom of the page to see the links to the various modes of GMail interface:

With Chat, Without Chat and HTML.

See if you're using the right one?

Alternatively, this can be checked with the Settings page too.

Try to see in settings weather your chatting is ebaled or not
and your are not in basic HTML version of gmail
Chatting is not supported by that version

When you reach the bottom of gmail page you will see the above screen. Check which option you have selected. To view chat use Standard with Chat option.

Piyush: EVery option is enable; and also on the basic HTML page, bcz all of my frnds are using the same machine with chat option.

means? Can you show the bottom of your gmail page? Just click on Standard with Chat link at bottom.

The standard option is enabled by default unless your connection is really bad, Gmail switches to basic HTML. Did this happen all of a sudden or were you playing around with some settings?

Hey Navjotsingh: thanks I have done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes u r right at the bottom of the page "standard w/o chat option" was enable.
