Want to purchase a pc before 20 feb.........

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:latest games like far cry 3, starcraft 2 hearts of swarm, skyrim...especially upcoming RTS titles

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:maybe by 1-2k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:win7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1tb(but can compromise)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:yes..20inch+....full hd

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:mouse and keyboard

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:20th feb....but suggestions on upcoming good components before april welcome.....

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:no

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:pune..can buy online....

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: yeah please suggest a good looking cabinet at reasonable price..... AMD cpu gpu config preferred.....

Gigabyte GA B75M-D3H - 4.2k
Corsair Vengeance 4GBx1 - 1.5k
Corsair GS 600 - 4.1k

For Gaming Above Intel Config. is Good Than AMD.But If you Run Heavy Multithreaded Applications Then AMD is the way to go.The above rig can handle any games at ultra setting on 1080p.Go for WD caviar Blue for storing OS and applications.WD caviar Green and seagate baraccuda failure rates are higher so better avoid them.If you want you can add WD caviar black 1 TB later when you have sufficient money

For a gaming configuration, i3 3220 is way better than FX-6100. If you want an AMD solution then opt for FX 8350, nothing less. I will suggest you get the Intel config with a higher end Processor like i5 3470, currently available around 11K.

Well i checked the price with local dealer and price for i5 3470 is 11.2k and for fx8350 is 12k......so its nearly same......the price is a bit overbudget but i think i can manage......is fx8350 worth increase?......... also just a noob question: Is it true that average life of intel procys is generally more than amd ones??

I still recommend to get a true Intel Quad Core like i5 3450/3470. At least try to get i5 2320 which is around 10K to 10.5K
