"Gaming" pc @45k. ~ Urgent.

I know there are threads of almost the same price bracket and identical requirements but I feel like I need a more personal discussion and don't really want to hijack another person's thread.

P.S:-This is not for me.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Sole purpose is gaming.Recent(Last 2 years) and upcoming games. Apart from that, normal usage, browsing, downloading, surfing, office work.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 45k (Max) Excluding UPS.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Not immediately. But yes.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7/8.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 will do if it is impossible to fit in a 1tb hdd. I realise budget is very tight.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes need to buy the monitoy. Dell S2240L to be precise.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Will buy everything apart from UPS.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: As soon as possible. 2-3 days. Tomorrow if possible.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Will do it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Kolkata. Locally. Open to buying relatively inexpensive parts online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: It would be amazing if an FX6300 and a R7 260X can be accomodated. Will buy tomorrow if possible so please reply with the best configs ASAP.
Thank you all in advance.

Yeah about that. FX6300 is close to 8k now isn't it?
And also are 660/750ti better than the R7 260x?
Finally, Is the antec vp450p enough for this rig?

yups. 660/750 ti is better. also 750 ti si based on new maxwell architecture and does not need any power connector from psu => it is very power efficient.
antec vp450p is enough. i should suggest vp550p since you may overclock in future.

Hmm but the 660 does exceed the budget slightly.
And 450 watts does seem measly,but again,a better PSU= more money=overbudget.

Antec VP450p or corsair CX430?

Actually not sure about RMA of Antec in kolkata. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Corsair is trustworthy since i have RMA'd my own psu from kaizen without any hassles.

Bro i have similar kind of doubt about CX 430 vs VP 450p....
see here 400-520W Power Supply Units Roundup . Page 12 - X-bit labs
they say "The Antec VP450P is a real disappointment. Being highly efficient, this PSU has a very unstable +5V voltage, poor fan speed regulation (the fan accelerates linearly right from the start) and an undeservedly high price. It is only cheaper than the other Antec in this review, but the latter is free from the mentioned downsides and offers much more power on the +12V rail."...... Corsair CX 430 is recommended over it!!

FX-4300 is not gonna be a good option for 2 years in future. And For Graphics card, try to get the Sapphire R7 265X Dual X @ 12.45K (GRAPHIC CARD SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R7 265 2GB GDDR5) or Asus GTX 750Ti PH @ 12.55K (GRAPHIC CARD ASUS GTX 750TI PH - 2GB DDR5).

Yes, it will be fine. But I think you should ask the shops like Vedant and M.D. in Ganesh Chandra Avenue about the Antec warranty Service in Kolkata. If it is reasonable then you can buy it out.

Dual X refers to some kind of special feature or just a gimmick?

Okay I have given the config to my friend.Thank you for all your inputs.

Just one more question. In case,he cannot even spend 1 buck more than 45k(The current build is at 47k+), the GPU needs to be changed to a lower one. Which one to choose in that case? 7770,7790 or 650ti?

bro i m not a Tech expert but reading from here and there i found Corsair CX430 v2 is older version which has 28 amps on +12v rail and its newer version has 32amps on +12V rail so try to get newer version!! (vedant link posted above shows older version..... i m not even sure if newer model is even launched in India or not) and this newer model name is simply Corsair CX430 (sounds erratic since v2 i.e version2 looks newer but its not)

CORSAIR - PSU Review Database

see this link.... v2 is discontinued and CX 430 shows 384W (i.e 12v X 32amps) hence dont take buy older version!!

^ Yes yes I knew about this. Will try to take the newer one if we find it.
But if the GPU is r7 265 or 750ti it wouldn't matter much. But yes,the 32amp on 12v rail one is better. Thanks for posting the info dude. :)
