Game Hangs

Right off the assembly line
I have a Asus P5QL-CM motherboard, Intel Dual-Core 2.8 GHz, 1GB x 2 RAM (Kingston and TAMKOR), (Seagate-500GB, WD-500GB, Hitachi-80GB), Asus ENGTX 470 Graphics Card, Cooler Master 500wt SMPS, Benq 17 inches display.
My problem is when I try to play games hangs while playing. I can't understand what the problem is, Pls help.

Your card might be overheated.Measure the temperature using Hwmonitor.Which is your cabby? Does it have extra fans to ensure proper cooling?

Motherboard : Fine.
CPU: Which Dual core is it..? But should be fine.
RAM: If possible increase total width to 4GB of same speed.
HDD: Fine.
GPU: Fine.
PSU: What is the exact model. (CM Extreme(??))
Monitor: Fine.

Which Forceware Driver are you on, is it the latest..?

Your system should never hang while playing games. Since the resolution is so low. Your GPU is a powerful unit.

What GPU temperatures are you getting..?
