its better that u did..the max price u can serioulsy hope for this 40k shipped... if in luck and yeas 13" is more expensive than 15" and if u call a xps a civic then a studio is a city..nothing less...and ppl prefer city due to vfm and the main and only significant diff is the vid card...

and since ppl know u bought it for 60k..nopone will pay u tht much...it will be better u post it in other forums..and hope no one knows abt this..but i think its unethical....still ur lap and money buddy...

@madjeri: I got a new Civic from Honda directly for 6lac, wheras it sells in the market for 10-11lacs. And thats because I know a person who has contributed significantly to the company to obtain such a discount.

I have hardly used it, and it was just lying at home. I have 3 years warranty on it, and is in mint condition.

You want me to sell it for 4lac, just because a new City is available for 6-7lac? Its the biggest joke that I have read on this forum.

Do you even know the difference in terms of weight, battery life, portability and support options an XPS has when compared to a Studio?

I know that I got it for a good price, even today it costs much more, I am being very frank in telling you what I paid for it, and how much it is worth. Just because I got a Civic for 6 lac, do you want me to sell it to you for 4lac with the extended warranty? Not in your wildest dreams.

I have no arguments over what you want to offer (I am sure you are not even interested in it) but I am sure that a person who knows the value of the items will get back to me. I am not trying to sell something which is more than what it is worth, and I don't want someone sitting 1000km away, to comment my ethics & about an item without even bothering to check the price on the Dell website first. If you genuinely wanted to evaluate the value of the laptop, you wont make blind and stupid comments.

I know that its a hobby for some people to enter every thread on this forum and crap the sale & increase their post counts. Wish that you know the value of a product being sold here, instead of commenting all nonsense with wrong figures and comparison of cats to dogs

A new XPS with 1 year warranty with half the specs as mine will easily cost 60k, It is upto the buyer to decide whether he wants a mint condition laptop with a great config + 3 year warranty or buy a lower config laptop with just 1yr warranty for 60k.

Can I challenge you something? Can you get a quote from Dell for the exact same configuration & warranty options (even under Employee Purchase Plan), for under 60k? If you can do that, I accept that the laptop is worth just 40k.

I am not feeling guilty, neither am I being greedy. Its a great laptop, as good as new, and the price I offered is definitely very reasonable. People who know laptops will know the price for this config

Aayush would be better able to explain this part, but its something like saying that a MacBook Pro worth 1.25 lakhs must be sold for 70K because you can get a 70K notebook with as much potential and power. Some people just NEED a mac, similarly, some people just NEED a 13.3" laptop.

Tell me a 13.3" laptop with this configuration thats worth, say, even 75K and comes with a warranty of a similar level compared to Dell Care Premium XPS 3 years warranty.

Had gopz bought a Dell Studio 15 instead of this laptop, then he may have been selling it here with a similar configuration for 27K. Thats because 15 is 15 and 13.3 is 13.3. There are many who just NEED to have 13.3" screens. 15" is a bit too large for most laps on loong journeys. 11" to 13.5", along with 10.5" and 14" as extremes are perhaps the easiest to carry. Also the reason why 17" mid-gaming laptops like Studio 17 can't compete with ASUS EEE PC in some fields.

i have bought the very same config except the graphic card and just one year complete cover for 60k.(no epp) (its coming today).and i think that doesnt make any big difference.

i dont play games on my lappy,so i wont make much use of graphic card.and moreover nvidia graphic card issue for xps 1330 is spreading like wild fire.even though dell and nvidia offers support and extended warranty ,prevention is better than cure. .so i dint order graphics card.


now who would want to buy a second hand 6 month old laptop for the price of new one.the only advantage i see is 2.5-1=1.5 additional year of complete cover.

so 1) brand new laptop for 60k(your own configuration) with one year complete cover.
2) second hand six month old geek owned laptop with 1+1.5 year complete cover

and if i may suggest ,anything around 40-48k(max) should be appropriate amount.
no offence to anybody.

i dint see 4gb ram and 9 cell battery,i have got 3gb and 6 cell battery. so 48-50k should be the right amount.

i have complete cover for 1 year

if i had chosen regular screen over led screen i would have got 4gb ram,bluetooth headset and 15 months mcafee software for 58k

i chose wled screen so just got bt headset for 800rs.

and u have already used up 0.5 year of complete cover as u say.

I can see on the website that 250GB is standard, we need to pay extra for 320GB

You're lucky you got btheadset for 800, because of WLED screen...anyways, mine also has a WLED screen.

If you add up all the extras that I have ( 320GB + BT headset + nNVIDIA 8400m + 9 cell battery + 3yr warranty etc), I'm sure there is a difference.

Yes, 6 month of warranty is over, but its still remaining for 2.5 years!!

I have withdrawn the sale, so no point discussing it anymore

yes it does make diffrence i agree.320 gb is standard(default in higher bundle for same price 53900) now.
just came to say is wysi(not)wyg in dell site.you get much more.you just have to bargain a bit.
