From Standard to LCD

Hello Everyone! I'm looking to retire the old 21" standard flat TV at home and replace it with a good LCD version. I have no idea on what I need to keep in mind or expect when I look at LCD TVs so your valuable opinions will be highly appreciated!

I've decided to go for the 32" models or the 42" ones whichever model offers Full HD(This is something I'm seriously looking at) and offers the best bang for the buck or so. My budget can go up to a maximum of around 55k.

And by the way, these are some I looked up on the net:

LG:

32- 32LK450
42- 42LK450

Panasonic:
32- VIERA TH-L32D25 (LED LCD), VIERA TH-L32U20

Thanks in advance!
