Folder opens automatically when win xp starts...

whenever i start my pc (running windows xp pro) a particular folder opens automatically...pls hlp 2 solve this ...

firstly, click on 'start', then on 'Run'. now type 'msconfig' and press enter. a 'System Configration Utility' window wiil open. click on start up tab. now disable the address of the folder that open on start up. restart ur computer. you 'll not seen the window again on start up.

Tools -> Folder Options, in View tab, uncheck the option:

Restore previous folder windows at logon

Check to see if there is shortcut of that folder in Start > Programs > Startup. If its there, then delete it.

It can also be the work of a nasty virus named rontolbro.... Do you have a good virus scanner or it also closes when the virus run.. Make an antivirus disable with vb nowadays have become an easy job.. Just we have to find the services running or perform some study on the services......
