OpenMoko launched its highly anticipated FreeRunner smartphone, a Linux-based handset that's completely open in both hardware and software, and is designed to encourage third-party modification and customization. OpenMoko Neo 1973 was released before Neo Freerunner.........Freerunner is available in India for 20k....I must say its kewl !!! If v know hardware hacking apart from s/w modds, v can create a phone dat suite our needs.......

hey hey.....y is dat everyone blaming the design??!!......if u don't like the design u can change it, its an open source fone....suggest ur design in OpenMoko Neo community, or if ur a grfx designer put forward ur own mind blogging design.....u can change location of ports, add extra components,etc as u wish, there is no restriction if u know h/w modding.....

only we Indians think like this, I think so....the present design was the most favorite one in the OpenMoko community!!! dunno y??:confused: I too hate this design :x

I would have probably bought it if it was like 12k or something! Also there is conflicting information about the processor used in the phone.
