From what I've learnt & still in the learning curve,IPsec is not a firewall.
IPSec stands for IP Security.It has go to do with rules & policies like say blocking ICMP replies when someone pings your IP.Basically various security addons to the TCP/IP stack.
IPSec may increase the security with a layered approach in mind but considering it or even saying that it is a firewall can be considered as noobish.

i v already seen zone alarm adn avast and in fact i v been and still am using it with my Win XP
but i needed a firewall and antivirus for windows server family.....
the above 2 do, in fact no-one to the best of my knowledge offer free firewalls or antiviruses for server environment....
thats why i posted a question

but my persional suggestion would be spend some amount on security and go for paid one...
I am using Kerio Winroute Firwall which costs approx $500 for 30 uers..
but it is worth spending the amount..
