2) yap both r different. while a blog is run usually by a person, a group is meant for a community. however, one single blog can hav more than one contributors--- *help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=123
3)upto you...if u want 2 ur 2 share ur thoughts with the whole world go for a blog, anyone can read ur blog widout havin to sign-up or login.
