Thanks a lot for those video reviews, Byte...The wallpapers, themes and excellent E-book collection finally justifies the content the DVD should have provided a looooong time back...I thought you were on a linux spree (it was half the DVD last time)!

Trying to find a balance with Linux and other sw... I think March is better balanced. The thing is there is only so much great software out there. So I am planning more in-house content for the Digit DVD. That plus a balance of Linux, games, software (for Windows and Linux), e-books, themes, wallpapers, music should be close to the perfect DVD. Maybe a month more and we should be there.

Er..This is more of a goofUp than a Feedback.....

In Tabloid tech,the piece under "Self-Help books anyone",it was mentioned
that:Refer to this issue's Escape for other wierd eBay Auctions.
But I could'nt find any in the Escape section....

Also the Names Montage accompanying the Digit patron Contest
Winners had In-House Names like Ashwin Boricha,Sachin Kalbag,Vasuki

I get this msg wen i try:

H:\is not accessible
The disc structure is corrupted & unreadable.

All my other DVDs r runnin just fine...
I havnt done anything with the region code stuff...
I tried to run the DVD in 2 other PCs,i got the same msg

PLSSSS replace the DVD 4 me.....just tell me wat i should do....

Hey BYTE, i think MICROSOFT don't bundle WINAMP in its any of the OS , hehehe.

What about giving DVDs of higher capacity instead of 2 or more ??
Dual layer ?? If its possible to run those DVDs in normal DVD drives
then you should start giving DVD- dual layer.

Since you expect readers to invest in buying new drives, why not you too
do the same

Yup. Seriously considered. I currently have 15.1 GB of video "shot" from the game we plan to review — editing and adding audio commentary is what will take the time and hence not for March. Game reviews via video is only part of a troika I want to start. Will take some time though

Ah ..For the first time I have liked Meera 's article .. The digital security article was great .. The face behind the mirror by Ram Mohan Rao and The Money Managers by Renuka Rane were some others that I liked ..

And yeah .. I am having the same experience as Bhasker Banik these days .. Only I goto cybercafes to check my mails twice in a week .. ..

Anyways .. Havent checked the DVD as yet .. Will keep updating ..
