You can extract only the audio using VirtualDub ( *virtualdub.sourceforge.net/) or using Blaze Media Pro (*www.blazemp.com). Here is the procedure to extract Audio using Blaze Media Pro Click here

well there are many sofwtares for sure.. but there is a easier way... just open up the Windows Recording Tool... Open Volume Control switch the Recording device to Wave out (Default is Microphone)... now what ever u play inside the computer will get recorded.. now to increase the windows recording time... just google... there are many tutorials about it... or u may look for a Free recording tool... or can use any professional recording tool such as Sound Forge (u need to configure that softwares inpu to Wave out rather than Microphone)...
there are many softwares for doing this ... use virtual dub, Aurora Media Workshop (you can find aurora in DIGIT cd browse cds of last two months...it was there)
