error trying to run 3Dmark11

Downloaded 3DMark11 Basic edition and installed.
Preset at Performance and running Benchmark Tests only. Get a "please wait..." splash screen, window then minimizes and after a minute or so getting this message:

Workload Single init returned error message: Initializing process failed.

Specs in my Sig

some other background process must be stopping 3dmark to work .. close all background programs like Antivirus, security suites, torrent client and even browsers.

will do once i get back home.
Also does overclocking the processor or gpu could be the issue?

Sure .. if the OC is too high / unstable somehow.

no use....getting the same error again and again
closed all user processes in TM except the few necessary ones, under-clocked, run as administrator

will it work if i start windows in safe mode?

it also seems that windows 8 has more issues with 3dmark11.
