error in video

hi all,

i'm trying to rip vcd to divx(.avi) using flaskmpeg, there is a little video error in vcd (probably due to scratches), and the ripping freezes there!!! is there any way to fix the error, or some other software which can do the job???

try copying the .dat file from the vcd to your hard disk using isobuster first... then try encode it... i had the same problem... i used isobuster to extract and virtualdub to encode.

As far as ripping vcd to ur hdd, if there is a physical fault then error is bound to happen. U may try software which would read scratched media. (Don't know whih one is better,so google or ask in this forum).
