AMD Phenom II X4 945.
No point in going for it because AMD is updating their CPU line up with Bulldozer in May-June. You're better off spending a little extra and going with Intel Core i5-2400.
However, compared to the previous gen Core i3-530/540, the Athlon II X4s are better.

^^ if budget can't exceed the price of Athlon II X4, get it. no price update about bulldozer. also it'll take a month or two for the price of bulldozer to settle & available freely once its launched. so to be precise, BZ is still 6months away (maybe more).
