yeah there is a certificate call halmer cert. u need to install it onto ur phone then sign all those annoying java apps on ur comp using a signing software wid the hamler cert. then transfer it to ur phone so remove all those nags. i'm searching for that for w700i. i know it can be done in w810i. need more time.. bit busy these dayz...

are the loudness drivers same for earphones and speaker?
i mean, would installing the loudness driver effect the quality of earphones ones?
i like the earphone sound, won't want the sound quality to be destroyed.

there are different files for all these (loudspeaker, headset while listening to audio, headset during a call, earpiece, loudspeaker wid fm). so u can selectively install the drivers for that particular entity. its all upto ur choice!

actually if u are on r1db firmware then its better to upgrade the headset driver too. dunno what happned to SE but they are suppressing the audio thru the headset wid their recent firmware (for almost all phones).. in SE's term this thing is called automatic volume leveller!!! its known to kill megabass in the K series and lower the volume in W series.

hmm, SEUS don't delete it, but i use myPhoneExplorer to backup all data. preety nifty, so no harm done.

in fact,i think u should edit to post and give link to myphone explorer which backups all data including calendar, mails, contact, notes, tasks etc etc.

yea, i was sucessful in flashing, the sound is quite good.amazed me too.

however, i feel that the camera quality has degraded.is this firmare the newset one?because i had updated my phone last week and found the camera colour balance has improved quite a lot.however this firmare has the old ones.

so, are there any camera drivers on net?

yes r1ca is older than r1db firmware. r1ca has cam ver2.3 while r1db has cam ver2.4. however i cud notice no change in pic quality after i flashed back to r1ca. after seeing ur post abt white balance i too am curious to test the cam wid the 2 drivers very finely. however i've been unsuccessful in find the ver.2.4 drivers. i think ppl who haf not yet tried out this mod can extract and upload the cam driver using far manager and breaker firmware!

i'm uploading the 2 layout.xml files. one is for removing the annoying scroll bars and the second is to remove the scroll bars, remove the operator name and also change the fonts used in the menu.

i'm also uploading camera driver ver.2.4 ripped off r1db firmware. PLZ DO KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS DRIVER MAY OR MAY NOT WORK WID UR R1CA FIRMWARE. there hasnt been 100% success. some people wid r1ca firmware (including me) were successfuly able to use this driver while some people complained that camera was dead. in any case do TAKE a backup of ur working driver before attempting this. i'm yet to analyse whats been improved in this version. if any of you notice anything do post here.

1) its an undocumented feature. so you'll hafta devote some time and try to find it in one of the conifiguration files. i haf no idea in which config file is it stored. u can try to search and modify the display driver and see if it works. again, take backup.

2) u can use it as a remote via BT, but infra red? like how? can u elaborate it further as to how did u use the k750i as remote via IR?

1-sorry,i saw remote control software for symbian
mobiles but sotware for using
mobile as a webcam in different sites like
(*www.takyahoo.com/Cat/20.aspx) and the name
of software is "K700 webcam" that is usable for models
k750,K700,w800 & etc but unfortunately not for w700.
do u have way for this problem?
2-is it possible to undo all the changes we've done
with the farmanager or XS++ by a master reset on the
mobile set?

1) remote control to control what? if its TV then NO. if its ur computer thru bluetooth then yes!

i think the k700 webcam works for w700 too. sorry i'm on a holiday for a week so no chance of testing. i'll get back to you when i return and do some tests.

3) NO. a master reset won't bring back the changes. u'll hafta follow the procedure till step 4 for restoring ur phone back to the factory default settings running the r1ca firmware. its completely safe. if this doesn't work then u haf official SEUS which will restore ur phone back. so no worries!

1-yeah i meant using infrared for remote control of TV and not a bluetooth control.
In the K700 software for mobile as a webcam,there r a lot of models of nokia & sonyericsson mentioned in the program except W700i & some other models.
2-u mean 4 restoring i should follow all the stages from the first stage to copying REST_W700_R1CA021 at the end and etc (of course without replacing additional features like ‘farfield_play.apf’ & ... in the far manager)?
3-is SEUS a software?wud u pls guide me the link of download and how to use?

i did all the stages 4 increasing my mobile sounds by "best acaustic pack" link.now all the sounds r excellent,but i need a lower key sound.what shall i do?

1) if k700 webcam doesn't haf an entry for w700i then try selecting k750i or w800i. mostly, it'll work.

2) yea, u'll hafta flash the Main, then FS and then customise it widout replacing any additional files.

3) yes, seus is sony ericsson update service. u'll need the supplied dcu60 cable and an active internet connection. it'll download the main, fs and customisation files (all about 20-25mb) and flash ur phone.

4) u can use the settings to lower it to the lowest volume. since it utilises the onboard speaker and the farfield driver controls the volume and quality on the onboard speaker theres no other way to tone down the keyvolume other than using the settings option in the phone.

one possible way cud be to find the sound file for the key sound in the /tpa folder, extract it. use a software like psmplay to edit the midi file (lower its volume) and then put it back into phone. try it.

^^^ well u can do it.. no probs.. but the reason why we are downgrading to r1ca from r1db is that... SE intro'd somthing called as "automatic volume leveller" in the r1db firmware. in other terms read this feature as "volume suppressor". it does more harm than good. the megabass is suppressed to quite an extent too. so to fully utiltise the driver, use a firmware that is pure...
